# H3-22 Michibiki 7 Mission Overview
On August 10, 2026, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries successfully launched the Michibiki 7 satellite aboard an H3-22 rocket from Japan's Tanegashima Space Center. Michibiki 7, also designated QZS-7, is the latest addition to Japan's Quasi Zenith Satellite System, a navigation constellation designed to complement and enhance GPS capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region. The satellite will operate from an inclined, elliptical geosynchronous orbit optimized for high-elevation visibility in challenging urban and mountainous terrain.
