Rocket Lab successfully launched The Grain Goddess Provides, the seventh dedicated mission for Japanese Earth imaging company iQPS, on August 6, 2026. The mission deployed a high-resolution synthetic aperture radar satellite into Low Earth Orbit, adding to iQPS's growing constellation of SAR Earth observation spacecraft. The Electron rocket lifted off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 on New Zealand's Mahia Peninsula. Electron is a two-stage orbital expendable launch vehicle with an optional third stage, purpose-built for small satellite deployment. Rocket Lab has established this New Zealand facility as a dedicated launch site to support frequent, responsive access to space for commercial and institutional customers.
