ICEYE SAR Satellites (Generation 1-3)

Generation 4 SAR Satellites
Introduced in 2025-2026, ICEYE's Generation 4 satellites represent an advancement in the company's platform design, offering enhanced imaging capabilities and greater mission flexibility. Track Record
Early Development and First Launch (2014-2018)
ICEYE was founded in 2014 by Rafal Modrzewski and Pekka Laurila as a spin-off from Aalto University in Finland, with the goal of miniaturizing synthetic aperture radar technology for small satellites. On January 12, 2018, ICEYE launched its first satellite, ICEYE-X1, aboard a PSLV rocket from India, becoming the first company to successfully deploy a commercial SAR microsatellite.
